I am also a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist. I have a strong desire to enable individuals, who receive mental health services to access services, make choices, pursue aspirations, and live and interact with dignity and respect in their communities. My Bachelor of Arts in Sociology along with my Master’s of Social Work degree from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke has taught me social competence that will allow me to help individuals cope with their illnesses. I have a Doctorate of Philosophy in Pastoral Counseling from Esoteric Interfaith Theological Seminary. Having worked in the mental health field and providing therapy since 2015, has helped me to develop a deeper understanding of these individuals and has enabled me to not show bias toward any individual that is willing to get help.

I am also a Prepare Enrich, Prime for Life and Darkness to Light Facilitator. I earned a Master of Art in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2012. I am trained in PMADS, CBT, CPT, MI, TF-CBT, EMDR and IFS. I have over 15 years of experience working with adults and children who have been physically/sexually abused or neglected and that have various substance abuse and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. I specialize in women’s mental health and offer support during the pregnancy, postpartum and parenting period.  My goal is to establish a therapeutic relationship with each individual while striving to be honest and maintain professionalism at all times. Homework assignments will be given as appropriate and relaxation exercises may be presented to encourage problem solving and coping skills. I believe in empowering individuals to overcome personal obstacles that may be keeping them from reaching their goals in life.

LaToria Ingram is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. She obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fayetteville State University and Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is a compassionate counselor with experience working with adolescents, youth, adults, and families in various settings, including schools and homes. She uses a variety of evidence-based techniques, such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Expressive Arts Therapy, and Play-based modalities, which aim to support the journey of self-discovery and healing. With 25 years of combined mental health and correctional services experience, she is also a Qualified Professional and also possesses a Certified Addiction Professional, International Reciprocity from Florida and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor for NC. She has visited many correctional institutions throughout America providing hope and motivational messages. Her favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 11:1 "For faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen."  Danita provides counseling and groups for those struggling with addictions, sex offenders, DWI assessments and ADETS.

LaToya has been in retail marketing for almost 20 years and was looking to take her experience to another career in mental health as a Certified Peer Support Specialist. One of her passions is training others. LaToya can assist and instruct a wide variety of classes and really enjoys teaching people. The focus is to help people feel confident, comfortable and above all have fun during their training. Her training’s are interactive working with the mannequins hands on and also practicing wrapping bandages on their classmates. LaToya’s goal for her students when they complete the training is to walk away smiling and saying,” That was the most enjoyable class I’ve ever taken, and I feel confident in using my skills if needed.” LaToya is trained in National Crisis Intervention Plus (NCI+) and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
